 What is Vietnam Visa On Arrival  (VOA)/ Vietnam Loose Leaf Visa (Paper Visa)

VOA means you will receive the visa stamp and visa sticker upon arrival at Vietnam Airport with the approval letter which is granted by Vietnam Immigration Office.

Paper Visa means you will receive visa sticker (paper) at your home/office after applying online. Approved by Vietnamese Embassy and sending home by post or DHL.

To apply for VOA, you don’t need to provide any documents.

To apply for Paper Visa, you need to provide documents including:

1. Passport scan
2. 1 passport sized photo (4x6cm)
3. Your arrival date and departure date.

To get visa stamp on arrival, you need to prepare documents as below and just get it at Vietnam airport:

2. The entry & exit form
3. The visa approval letter
4. 2 passport sized photos (4x6cm)
5. Stamping fee by cash only

You just need to hold paper visa and enter Vietnam by any ports(airplane, cruise, bus, air,...) without any documents.

What is Vietnam Visa fee?

Processing Time

To receive the approval letter via email, you have to wait:

1. Normal: 2 working days
2. Urgent:  4 – 8 working hours
3. Emergency: 30 minutes

To receive paper visa at home/office, you have to wait:

1. Normal: 4 – 7 working days (Canada/ United State / Europe)
2. Urgent: 2 – 4 working days (Canada/ United State / Europe)
3. Emergency: Not Available

Note: Other countries and Continent normal processing time: 5 – 10 working days.

VOA is valid for those who arrive Vietnam via airport only.
