From 0h on 18-3, suspend the issuance of visas for foreigners entering Vietnam
The Government Office has just announced 102 / TB-VPCP which is the conclusion of the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the Government Standing Committee on COVID-19 prevention and control mentioned above.
Practice shows that COVID-19 disease will continue to evolve complicatedly around the globe, causing serious consequences. Vietnam is still a country with a great risk of spreading the disease, but it is still in the golden phase to control the infection.
Therefore, all branches and levels must thoroughly grasp the spirit of "fighting against epidemics like fighting against the enemy", implement well the 4-point motto, mobilize the entire political system to take part in, best prepare manpower and facilities, ready to respond in case of widespread outbreaks, minimize infection and death due to epidemics.
In special cases, it is required to have a corona virus-free certificate.
Firstly, it will temporarily suspend the issuance of visas for foreigners entering Vietnam for a period of 30 days starting from 00:00 on 18-3.
Specifically, the cases are exempted from a visa or visa exemption certificate issued to Vietnamese people and relatives.
A number of other special cases when entering the country must be certified not positive for coronavirus issued by the competent authorities of the host country and approved by Vietnam.
The above-mentioned measures do not apply to people on an entry for diplomatic or official duty purposes.
Cases of entry must undergo inspection and comply with appropriate epidemic prevention and control measures in accordance with regulations.
Isolate concentrated immigrants from the US, Europe, and ASEAN countries
In addition to the current cases of concentratedly isolated entry, the concentrated isolation shall be carried out for people from the US, Europe, and ASEAN countries; at the same time, isolation and medical supervision at home, enterprises, accommodation establishments and group supervision for subjects not under concentrated isolation.
Continue to minimize flights from the epidemic area to Vietnam. The ministries of Health, National Defense, Police, and Transport shall consider and decide the landing position of flights from epidemic areas to ensure favorable conditions for the isolation of people on entry.
Prepare more isolation facilities in the military
The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Defense to continue preparing more isolation facilities in the army. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committees of the provinces and cities prepare more isolation facilities and assign the Commander of the military zones to coordinate the reception and isolation of large numbers.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall assume the prime responsibility and, together with the concerned ministries and agencies, closely monitor the epidemic situation in ASEAN countries, the region, and the world in order to propose timely and appropriate response measures.
Continue to recommend the prevention of disease spread from within the family, paying attention to those with background illness, the elderly to monitor health, and voluntary medical reports.
Continuing to promote the roles and responsibilities of the ward, commune and residential quarter administrations in closely monitoring and taking measures to support families of suspected and isolated people.
Extensive implementation of testing
The Prime Minister also requested extensive testing. Note testing for disadvantaged cases in society. Ministries, branches and localities, especially big cities, will focus on directing the strict implementation of the solution to restrict crowded people.
