Phong Nha- Kẻ Bàng national park was recognized by UNESCO to be the global natural heritage for the second time.
With the unanimous agreement of all members from the committee of global heritage, the national park in Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng was recognized as the global natural heritage for the second time.
At 5:30 pm on July 3rd, 2015 in the 39thannual meeting in Bonn, Germany, with the unanimous agreement from all 21 members of the committee of global heritage (WHC), Phong Nha- Kẻ Bàng case was recognized by UNESCO to be the global natural heritage for the second time on 2 mottos, which are based on the ecosystem and the diversion of the biologic system.

The consideration report from the committee of Nature Preserve emphasizes that the numbers of animals and plants in Phong Nha- Kẻ Bàng have the highest diversion rate in Vietnam and is a lot more than many countries in and out of the surrounded area. The committee of global heritage also agreed on expanding the area of the park from 210039.57 square acres to over 303939.619 square acres.
Phong Nha- Kẻ Bàng national park is the third one to be recognized in Asia, and is the first one in the area to achieve 3 over 4 mottos for a natural heritage. This national park in Quảng Bình was first recognized to be global natural heritage by the UNESCO in 2003.
