Vietnam visa exemption for tourists from five European countries

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has signed a decision to exempt visas for citizens from five countries including: Italy, Spain, England, France, Germany. Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, general director of the General Department of Tourism, Ministry of Culture and Information said at the Mekong Tourism Forum 2015.

The decision will take effect from the date of 1st July, and be made within one year, then extended pursuant to the law of Vietnam.

Besides, the decision also lays down provisions arrivals from 5 countries on temporary residence in Vietnam shall not exceed 15 days from the date of entry into Vietnam.

Also at the meeting on, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information and Tourism, Mr. Le Khanh Hai said that Da Nang was chosen as the host city of the Congress of Sports Sea Asia 2016 (Asia Beach Games).

On the sidelines of this important event, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Danang and collaboration with the World Tourism Organization, the World Olympic Committee will organize the conference Sport and Tourism for links between sport and tourism calendar, create more opportunities for the development of tourism diversity of Vietnam in particular and the region in general.
